June Father’s Day Letter

It’s June and it’s Father’s Day.

Usually, this day is celebrated less than Mother’s Day (from my perspective as a father even though I adore my kids?). I hope you don’t forget to celebrate Father’s Day with your dad this weekend!

I hope this letter finds you well and that you had a good celebration of Mother’s Day! Just an update for you: it has been busy for the team who have been making many changes to make ZENXIN better for you.

Firstly, our marketing team has been filming me on our organic farms, in our packing house and even getting me to share my wife’s recipes. I must say, most people love how I prepare vegetables! Here I attach a video of how I use ZENXIN organic kang kong to make Ban Chan, a Korean appetizer.

We also had a Mother’s Day celebration with all the lucky ZENXIN Spend & Win winners at one of the highest points in Singapore, Si Chuan Dou Hua, UOB Tower, 60th floor. It has been great for our organic farm-to-table initiative with Chef Ho and Director Linda Loke. More than 80 friends of ZENXIN joined us for the high tea and Chef Ho demonstrated how to cook Si Chuan style cabbage with wok hei, even at home!

Just an update from the farm: the weather has been challenging everywhere, with very hot and rainy conditions in Cameron Highlands and Thailand, which have affected the growth of our leafy vegetables and cucumbers recently. ZENXIN organic cucumbers have been in short supply since many of our friends find that organic soil-grown cucumbers taste much better and are great for healing. Those who know me know that when I am feeling uneasy, ZENXIN organic cucumber is always my snack and I hope that I can eat it until I am 100 years old!

As you may have seen, ZENXIN Bhutan’s organic turmeric, asparagus, ginger, etc. are now available. ZENXIN has been fortunate to be a pioneer in marketing Bhutan Organic products in the region, which are endorsed by the Bhutan Department of Agriculture. As many know, Bhutan is a country that has declared itself to be organic and focuses on growing organic food. I was recently invited to speak at the Bhutan Agrifood Trade Investment Forum and I brought along my parents for the Father’s Day celebration since they had never been to Bhutan like me. It was an eye-opening experience. The country has a beautiful climate, water and the happiest people in the world who grow the happiest organic food! Thanks to Breathe Bhutan, the premium travel agency that hosted us!

Stay tuned to our monthly news from now on! I will get the team to share more of my wife’s recipes using organic vegetables and we will provide you with more exciting updates, especially about the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival at ZENXIN Organic Farm and our ZENXIN tour to Cameron Organic Farm!

Wishing you feeling great and healthy!

Organically yours,
Sengyee,
