We at Zenxin pride on being an organic farm, using manual ways to remove weeds from our land. Yet weed management has become the leading barrier for organic farms to be successful. With the traditional mindset it is common to think of weeds as a pest, a nuisance, a hindrance in our land that invades, multiplies and infests. We, like you, simply are so frustrated with weeds stubbornly growing out of perfectly mowed land.

Yet!

Did you know that they actually play a very brave and crucial role in ecological succession? And have you ever tasted food made with weeds before? Or smelt the light fragrant aroma of weeds tea? Well we didn’t knew until recently too!

So come find us at Zenxin Organic Park and experience this new tour yourself! Bring along your friends and family to get back into nature and learn some fun facts about these “pests”. Taste rice rolls (filled with weeds and flowers) and weeds tea that will surely be a unique experience to paint on to your life palette.

You can learn about:

  • weeds as soil indicator
  • how weeds improve soil quality
  • weeds as compost material
  • weeds as companions
  • and, weeds as food!
