Certified Organic Qingyuan Mushrooms

Zenxin’s Organic Mushrooms come from the birthplace of mushroom cultivation —Qingyuan County in southwest Zhejiang.

800 years ago, farmers started farming mushrooms here for the emperor. In Qingyuan, mushrooms are grown in the natural season of mushroom or naturally in winter only, organically in pristine forests without chemicals and sulphur treatment. Qingyuan Mushroom Culture System was named the Nationally Important Agricultural Heritage systems of China in 2014. These mushrooms are certified organic under Australian Organic Standards (NASAA) and accredited by IFOAM.

How to Prepare Mushrooms ?

  • Soak dried mushrooms in warm water for 20-30 minutes or until softened

  • If you are not in a rush, use the slow soak method- Soak dried mushrooms in room temperature water for 8 hours or more (as it can ‘lock’ more flavour and retain firm texture of mushrooms)

  • Gently squeeze each mushroom to remove as much water as possible

  • Rinse the mushrooms to remove any hidden, stubborn grits

  • Liquid used to soak mushrooms adds enormous flavour to your dish! Strain the liquid to remove unwanted grits before use
