What is Konjac?

Also known as Shirataki, elephant yam or ‘魔芋’ in Mandarin, Konjac is a plant native to Japan. It is high in Glucomannan, a type of soluble fibre that can absorb water and keep you full.

Who should not consume konjac products?

Konjac is usually well-tolerated for most individuals. However, as Konjac is high in dietary fibre, it is not recommended to individuals with digestive problems like frequent bloating, abdominal pain, or indigestion. In addition, as konjac product have springy texture, it is less suitable for those with chewing difficulties.
